Hawks
Stay Ram Tough!
Despite
being pressured and sacked often in the first three quarters. Matt
Hasselback and the Seahawks wheathered the storm from the Rams,
winnning 24-19. Seattle finally in the fourth quarter adjusted too
the blitzing throughout the game by the Rams by doing draw plays
up the middle with Maurice Morris. Morris who finished with
79yards on 16 carries has put the pressure on defenses and Shaun
Alexander when he returns. Morris who also is a great reciever
out the backfield along with being a great change of pace running
back that fits well into this new true west coast offense system
by Mike Holmgren these last three weeks. Seattle on the road
has a hard time getting on track early. Playing catch-up on the
road all the time will bite you when you are trying too make a playoff
berth against below five hundred teams.
Seattle's
offensive line must do a better job protecting Hasselback. Hasselback
also must try too stay under center when he can. Spencer has a hard
time on the road {snaping} hiking the ball in the shot-gun formation.
Bad snaps {High}{low} lead too missed field goals by Josh Brown.
Fades,[one on one]slants, draw plays and getting out of the shotgun
by staying under center are the adjustments the Hawks made against
the Rams and their defensive pressure up the middle in that fourth
quarter. Shaun Alexander when he comes back has to adapt too this
"new True West Coast" passing offense. When I say adapting
by Alexander I mean he must get used to less carries, catch the
ball out of the backfield on a regular basis, hit the holes hard
, block, and not be a cancer too he's teammates, and coaches when
he's not in the game. Maurice Morris, and Leonard Weaver have showed
these last three weeks that they fit in well in this new "
True West Coast passing offense". Alexander must show fans
that he's healthy ,and he will adjust to this new system. If Alexander
does not want to adjust too the new system of Mike Holmgren, then
the Hawks will have a new cheerleader named, Shaun Alexander! dre
